Annual Events:
WPI hosts or participates in several annual conferences. WPI is a host to long-standing annual events such as:
- Department of Defense Contract Management Update
- End of Year Federal Contractor Update
- Government Opportunities Business Conference (GOBC)
- The Contracting Academy (TCA)
- The Wisconsin Federal Contractor Forums held in Wisconsin and Washington, D.C.
WPI also participates in annual conferences hosted by the State of Wisconsin such as the Lieutenant Governor’s Small Business Academy and Marketplace Wisconsin: Governor’s Conference on Diverse Business Development.
Department of Defense (DOD) Supply Chain: Cyber Workshops:
Wisconsin manufacturers are facing a significant challenge in meeting cyber and security compliance requirements that are being included in their Defense, Federal and commercial contracts and subcontracts. WPI Counselor Matt Frost hosts in-person educational sessions to learn about what manufacturers can do to improve their security position in a rapidly shifting digital landscape while positioning themselves to meet both existing and upcoming supply chain requirement (such as NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, ITAR). Topics covered will include: System Security Plans; Incident Response; Disaster Recovery.
Government Certification Workshop
Are you a Minority, Disadvantaged, Small, Women, or Veteran owned or HUBZone located business? Join the Wisconsin Procurement Institute’s Tru Mwololo, the Wisconsin Procurement Institute’s Manager of Small Business Programs, for a once a month Government Certifications Workshop located in Madison, Wisconsin where you will learn about what local, state, or federal certifications your business may qualify for and how these certifications could help you gain a competitive edge in the federal, state, or local government marketplace.
Local Government Sales Opportunities
Presented in cooperation with local government agencies across the State of Wisconsin, the Local Government Sales Opportunities are virtual and in-person networking opportunities and include 1-1 buyer meetings with government buyers.
