The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) is hosting a conference at Birchwood Hotel & O.R. Tambo Conference Centre, South Africa from November 1-2, 2016. The purpose of this conference is to offer U.S. small businesses the opportunity to learn about USAID, the procurement process, and the USAID programming priorities and procurement needs for the Africa Missions. USAID will send representatives from approximately 20 Missions in Sub-Saharan Africa to the conference.

The conference will include panel discussions about how to work with USAID missions, discussion about the business forecast, and subcontracting opportunities with large business prime contractors. There will also be exhibit booths of USAID Africa Missions, large business prime contractors, and other federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of State, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), and others.

 

CONFERENCE CALL ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

USAID will be hosting a conference call to discuss the conference, and address any questions the small business community may have about the conference. The conference call will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11am.
