When your business submits a quote through DIBBS, it is not just quoting a price, it is also indicating that you have an understanding of the full requirements and obligations that will come with the award. Businesses providing manufactured parts and related items of supply should have a complete understanding of these requirements.
Some of the worst “war stories” in contract management revolve around rocky closeouts. At the end of a contract, some contractors have been able to cease production, release employees, and finish their work very efficiently only to discover that a lengthy and turbulent set of problems awaits them – final settlements, government property, records retention / documentation, and financial audits. Often managers realize too late what is required to CLOSE OUT a contracts.
This webinar will discuss the legal requirements and best business practices for a smooth and complete contract closeout process. Also covered will be practical suggestions for notifying subcontractors, suppliers, company management, and employees. There will be an opportunity to share and discuss experiences on how to plan for either a timely closure, or follow-on awards
