Buyer Meetings – Marketplace registrants will have the opportunity to request meetings and discuss opportunities with Federal, State, Local, and Corporate Buyers. The two short videos linked below lay out best practices and next steps for you to prepare your business’s virtual presence for this unique opportunity.
MARKETPLACE conference will be held from Dec. 8-10, 2020. For the first time in its 39 years, the conference is taking place in a virtual format, and as usual will connect business owners from across Wisconsin seeking to do business with state, federal and local governments as well as private sector partners. At the conference, minority, woman, veteran, small and LGBTQ-owned businesses can learn from and connect with resource providers, government representatives, corporate buyers and business professionals to lay the framework to develop new partnerships and new contracts.
The conference serves businesses of all sizes, with a special focus on helping small business get connected with resources and knowledge. In this year’s virtual format, the conference will allow companies more time to connect and network through virtual workshops, panel discussions, buyer meetings and much more. While we are proud to have been able to pivot to a virtual format to prioritize participants’ health, we look forward to welcoming you back at an in-person event as soon as it is safe—hopefully next year.
In conjunction with Marketplace, WEDC and WPI will host The Contracting Academy. The Contracting Academy (TCA) is an opportunity for businesses to grow their technical knowledge of contracting with the State of Wisconsin, Federal Government and Government Prime contractors.
