As a Federal Contractor it is very important to understand the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS), which collects and maintains Contractor’s Past Performance Information. Past performance is now included in the selection criteria in Government contracts. It is essential for the Contractor to review the comments and ratings for timeliness and accuracy. Contractors should be aware that there may be an opportunity to modify results with the assessing official and possibly shape the performance evaluation.
