Acquisition Hour: Disaster Contracting

Business opportunities related to disasters are often associated with specific needs such as – bottled water, blue tarps, and the removal of debris. In addition to these types of immediate needs there are also business opportunities that are not so easily seen. They are often related to the work that goes into creating contingency contracts or grants that support any number of efforts by eligible parties to plan for and mitigate specific types of natural disasters. Lastly, there are efforts and support associated with assisting affected communities to “pick up the pieces” and rebuild. This webinar will take a broader view of disasters to explore business and funding opportunities related to all phases of disaster preparation, response and post disaster federal involvement and resources.
